In the news, May 13, 2015: ‘Mad as Hell Mother’s Day Rumble’ leads to two arrests >>
We gather in Plymouth on Mother’s Day to honor our mothers and others as we raise a rumble and call for the closing of the Pilgrim nuclear reactor for the sake of our children, grandchildren, and future generations.
Join us in song and rumble with Boston singer/song leader Anne Goodwin, music by Tom Fettig, drumming by Leona Bombaci, poetry by Susan Carpenter, Kristin Knowles, and three poems about Pilgrim by Marge Piercy. Anita Mother Bear Peters, Mashpee Wampanoag Traditional Artist will present. Cape Downwinders members William Maurer and Jodi Cardoza will update efforts on our work. At 12:15 PM we will march on Rocky Hill Road to the Pilgrim reactor.
A creative action is planned by the Grandmothers Affinity Group. If you would like to join in, please contact Elaine at (508) 246-4563, or Diane at (508) 776-3132. Legal support is available. To volunteer for the day, contact Sarah at (508) 385-2316, or Susan at (774) 268-1695.
